　　Example:

　　Wrong：丁力让我在这等他。

　　Right：丁力让我在这儿（这里）等他。

　　“在”requires a place object. “这”refers to thing rather than location. Hence it may not serve as the object of “在”, and must carry “儿”or “里”to make a phrase of locality.

 

　　Example:

　　Wrong：他在这儿里的生活非常愉快。

　　Right：他在这儿（这里）的生活非常愉快。

　　“这儿里”is a mixture of “这儿”and “这里”. Use either “这儿” or “这里”.
