　　Example:

　　Wrong：这个商店没有那个商店这么大。

　　Right：这个商店没有那个商店那么大。

　　“那个商店”is a distant reference. It does not correspond with “这么”which is related to something nearby, but corresponds with “那么”that relates to something further away.

 

　　Example:

　　Wrong：去年的水果产量没有今年的水果产量那么多。

　　Right：去年的水果产量没有今年的水果产量这么多。

　　The sentence is focused on the situation of this year which encloses the moment of utterance. One should use “这么”.

 

　　Example:

　　Wrong：那么钱一个钟头数得完数不完？

　　Right：那么多钱一个钟头数得完数不完？

　　“那么”is mainly used before adjectives or verbs, serving as an adverbial adjunct. It can not be an immediate modifier of a noun (like“钱”). In light of what the sentence means, we add the head word “多”to “那么”.
